Do Devonstone Solids have a right and wrong side?

As the fabric is solid dyed, the colour appears on both sides. There may be a slight difference in the surface finish, so check the fabric in good light and use the same side consistently throughout your project.

Can I use Devonstone Solids with printed fabrics?

Yes. Solid colours work well with printed fabrics as backgrounds, borders, sashing, binding and appliqué. They can be paired with Devonstone prints or fabrics from other collections to highlight or balance colours within the design.

Will the colour shown online be exact?

Colours can appear different depending on your screen and lighting. Dye lots may also vary slightly, so we recommend ordering the full amount required for your project at the same time when an exact colour match is important.

Should I prewash Devonstone Solids?

Prewashing is optional for quilting, but may be helpful for clothing, homewares or projects that will be washed regularly. If you prewash, treat all fabrics in the project in the same way before cutting to allow for any shrinkage or colour release.

Can Devonstone Solids be used for clothing?
