Frequently Asked Questions

How can I judge the size of the animals in a fabric design?

For repeating fabrics check the scale reference in the product specifications and the corresponding product image. Many designs include a 30 × 30 cm scale image to help you assess the motif size for fussy cutting, quilt blocks and smaller sewing projects. For panels, the product image shows the complete panel and the full panel dimensions are listed in the product specifications.

Should I choose a fabric panel or a repeating animal print?

Choose a panel when you want a complete feature design for a quilt centre, wall hanging, cushion or bag. Repeating prints continue across the fabric and are better suited to piecing, borders, binding and projects requiring a longer continuous length. Panels are sold individually, while regular fabric is generally sold by the half metre.
